5. To take Jesus to be dedicated

7. To respond to an awful predicament
8. To watch a brutal beating
9. To gaze upon her dying son

WHAT DOES THIS TEACH US:

1. God’s ways are not our ways
2. Who we are is far more significant than where we are
3. God does speak through godly people
4. The world is God’s parish
