God gives us an incredible picture about David, God’s anointed one. He was facing all kinds of difficult circumstances, not the least of which was King Saul. We know the story of how he was hunted down and people were after him. They tried to do every they could to stop David but they couldn’t stop God! The most interesting part about the rise of David to become king is that God brought to bear upon this man a call to take a stand. We are living in a very morally bankrupt world. We cannot let up! We are in a serious spiritual battle for lost souls. Do we stand still and have nothing to say when our faith is attacked? Do we retreat because of fear or intimidation?
